Goose Creek's 2013 Christmas lighting to feature fireworks display

Posted: Updated:

The City of Goose Creek will host the 2nd annual Lakeside Light Display behind the Municipal Center on Thursday December 5th.

This year's event will kick off with a spectacular fireworks display at 6 pm, followed by the lighting of the lakeside displays.

Goose Creek officials announced Santa will be on hand to listen to children's gift wishes, so be sure to bring a camera for photos. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available to children after they visit Santa.

There will be several new light displays this year including a Mrs. Claus and a Gingerbread Boy and Girl.

Free Friday evening hayrides are scheduled for December 13 and 20, from 6-8 pm. Enjoy the light displays from a hayride around the lake.  The Friday hayrides will also feature a special activity such as Christmas cookie decorating and a marshmallow roast.  All activities and the hayride are free.
