Thousands without power after car crash in North Charleston

Over 2,400 SCE&G customers are without power after a car crash early Thursday morning.

Charleston County Dispatch confirmed to News 2 that a car hit a power pole at Azalea Drive and Bonds Avenue in North Charleston. Roads in that area are closed due to downed power lines.

Dispatch says no one was transported by EMS. Police and power crews are on the scene.

Through it's website, SCE&G is reporting that 2,437 customers are without power right now.
