Chili cook off benefits Charleston Animal Society

If you're in the mood for a good bowl of chili, you're in luck! The Charleston Animal Society will host it's 14th Annual Celebrity Chili Cook-off and Oyster Roast on Saturday, November 23 from 1PM to 5PM at Joe Riley Park.

53 teams will be cooking up their own unique version of the winter favorite. You can also enjoy oysters as well as local brews. It is a family friendly event that will include a kids fun zone, live music and friendly tournament games such as corn hole and redneck horseshoes.

The Charleston Animal Society will have a number of adoptable animals at the that you can take home. The adoption fee will be waived during the event. The money raised at the chili cook off will benefit Toby's Medical Fund.

Tickets are $25 at the gate with kids 10 and under free. The price of admission gets you all you can eat chili and oysters.
