3rd woman shot within 24 hours in North Charleston; Search for shooter continues

3rd woman shot within 24 hours in North Charleston; Search for shooter continues

CHARLESTON, SC -

 

North Charleston police are searching for clues to a string of shootings that have left 2 women dead and a 3rd hospitalized at the Medical University of South Carolina.  Police report the third woman was shot around 7pm at a home on Ventura Avenue.  North Charleston police report the woman was pronounced dead inside that house.  This now makes two women killed and another injured after three separate shootings within 24 hours in North Charleston Wednesday. North Charleston police also report another deadly shooting happened shortly before 5 a.m. on Niagara Street. A woman was shot to death after answering a knock at her door.  A 3rd woman survived being shot at a house on Aintree Avenue in the early Wednesday morning.  No word on her condition.  She was reportedly transported to the MUSC.

North Charleston police have indicated if the shootings are related.
