An 8-day-old infant is back home with his mother tonight, after police say he was kidnapped earlier Wednesday afternoon.

Around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Charleston County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the CVS Pharmacy on Highway 78 and Ladson Road for an abducted infant. The mother told police she was driven to the store by a friend and then went into the store to "grab a few things," leaving the 8 day old infant with her friend, 31-year-old April Michelle Hernandez Del-Rio, in the car.

Police said when the mother came out of the store, Del-Rio and the infant were gone.

The infant was located a few hours later in good health.  He was taken to the hospital and returned to his mother.

Del-Rio has been arrested and is being charged with kidnapping. She will have bond court Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m.
