STEDMAN, N.C. -

A mother in Cumberland County had her son arrested after he took her car and never returned it.

Christopher Scott Norris, 39, took his mother's 2005 Silverado Chevrolet on Aug. 5 and never returned it, according to the sheriff's office. Norris' mother, Carolyn Norris, said she asked her son to bring the car back.

Christopher Norris, of Stedman, said he doesn't know where the vehicle is, authorities said.

The sheriff's office arrested and charged him with larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.  Christopher Norris has a scheduled court appearance Jan. 31.
