Man suffers gunshot wound after falling out of deer stand

Posted: Updated:

Police responded to a residence early Tuesday morning in reference to a man reportedly being shot. When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound in his upper right arm. The man was only able to give them his name.

The man's cousin informed police that he had told her that it was due to him falling from a tree-stand and his shotgun going off. EMS determined the man had a head injury and that he needed immediate transport.

A helicopter was called in and transported him.

There is still no word on the man's condition.
