19 adults and 5 children are displaced after early morning fire

SUMMERVILLE, SC -

Summerville fire crews battled a fire at Westbury Mews Apartment Complex in Summerville early Monday morning.

Dispatch says they first responded to the fire at 12:45a.m.

The American Red Cross was on scene and says more than 20 people are out of their home, including 19 adults and 5 children. The Red Cross is working to determine if those who are displaced have a place to stay, and how they can help.

The Red Cross says the fire broke out in a 12 unit building and 11 of those units were occupied. All 12 units have some sort of fire, smoke or water damage.

    Charleston County detectives are investigating an apparent stabbing that on Johns Island at around 11:30 Friday night. According to deputies, 41-year-old Juan Ramos, is accused of stabbing his roommate in his side. The roommate was treated for his injuries.Deputies found Ramos with blood on his hands and his jeans. That investigation continues.

Two people werestruck by a 2004 Honda CRV, when itswerved off the road. Authorities said the car,which belongs to Lanzaro,was located by the Folly Beach Police Department at his residence.
