Three arrested after drive-by shooting in Walterboro

WALTERBORO, SC - Thursday February 20, 2014 deputies from the Colleton County Sheriff's Office heard several gunshots in the area of South Memorial Street, Walterboro, SC.

Deputies noticed a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed and attempted to make a traffic stop on a burgundy Mazda 626. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop for law enforcement. The driver of the vehicle continued at a high rate of speed and eventually wrecked the vehicle into a building at 1303 Rivers Street, Walterboro SC.

One of the occupants in the vehicle fled the scene on foot and was later apprehended.  A handgun was found near  the wrecked vehicle.  It was later discovered that the three suspects in the vehicle drove by 321 S. Memorial Street and opened fire on two individuals standing outside this address.

No one was injured but there was property damage from the bullets. Quinton Brown, Tyrone Choice, and a juvenile suspect were all arrested for several counts of Attempted Murder, Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm, and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.
