Family of 8 displaced after Goose Creek house fire

GOOSE CREEK, SC - Four adults and four children are out of a home after a fire destroyed their Goose Creek house Friday night.

It happened at 129 Gator Drive and no one was hurt.

The American Red Cross is offering assistance. They say they are helping with lodging, food, clothing and other personal items.

The North Charleston Dixie Majors baseball team, representing South Carolina, won the Dixie Majors World Series in Ozark, Alabama. North Charleston lost the first game to Texas Wednesday 11-1, forcing a second game. The second game came down to the final out, with South Carolina beating Texas 2-1, winning the series.
