NC pair faces more than 100 sex charges

Amos Lavon Hardy, 36, of Carolina Beach Rd., Wilmington has been charged with 70 counts of first degree sex offense with a child. These charges are in addition to his previous charges on from February of 2014 for four counts of sex offense parental role, three counts statutory rape/sexual offense and second degree rape.

Investigators report the incidents occurred between 2006 and 2014 at various locations to include Southport  The female victim was between the ages of 8 and 16 years at the time of the assaults.

Wilmington Police Department has also served warrants on behalf of the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office who charged Angela Renee Wallace, 36, also of Carolina Beach Rd., in Wilmington, with 40 counts of felony child abuse –sexual act. 

Detectives are asking that anyone with any information about any other incidents involving Amos Levon Hardy, to contact the BCSO Criminal Investigation Unit at 910-253-2777 or Detective Scott Bright at 910-616-6240.
