Dash cam video shows SC trooper finding kidnapped mother in trunk of car

SANTEE, SC - The South Carolina Highway Patrol has released dash cam video of a kidnapped mother rescued from the trunk of her son's car in Santee.

Troopers spotted 20-year-old Regelio Lopez at an I-95 rest stop on February 26, 2014. Click here for the original story.

They had been on the look out for the Cadillac after being alerted it was involved in a Virginia Beach kidnapping.

Lopez is now facing a kidnapping charge and is in Richmond, VA.

    Chrysler is recalling more than 700,00 Jeeps for an ignition switch problem.The automaker says the ignition key can be moved out of the on position, by the driver's knee while the car is being driven. This could cause the engine to stall and the airbags to stop working.It affects Jeep Commanders with model years 2006 to 2007 and Jeep Grand Cherokees with model years 2005 to 2007.Chrysler says it will contact affect customers by mid-September.
