9 arrested in Georgetown County drug sting

Nine people were arrested on drug charges in a 36-hour period starting on Wednesday, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office.

Our media partners at South Strand News report the charges include distribution of crack, manufacturing marijuana, distribution of marijuana, distribution of marijuana within half mile of school, possession of crack, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a family court bench warrant. Agents also reportedly dismantled a marijuana growing operation, seized more than 700 grams of marijuana, a small amount of crack, a 9mm handgun, a rifle, and one vehicle. Three subjects are still being sought.

Those arrested were: Ryan Britton, 31, of Pawleys Island; Richard Neal Cox, 65, of Andrews; Malcolm John Cromedy, 37, of Georgetown; Jon Michael Duvall, 18,  of Andrews; Albert Glen Lambert, 19, of Andrews; Marvin Martinez, 18, of Andrews; Ronald Lamount Mickel, 42, of  Georgetown; Casey James Smith, 23, of Myrtle Beach; Alston Hampton Tiller, 18, of Pawleys Island.

They were transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center.
