Driver at SXSW from South Carolina, charged with 2 counts of murder

News 2 has found out that the driver who drove into a crowd of people at the SXSW Music, Technology and Film Festival in Austin, Texas, is from South Carolina.

Police say Rashad Charjuan Owens, 21
, now lives in Killeen, Texas. The local NBC station has confirmed through a facebook page that Rashad is from Orangeburg, SC.

He has been charged with two counts of capital murder and 23 counts of aggravated assault with a vehicle after he allegedly drove into a crowd of people.
