Florence County Sheriff's deputies got a call for a naked man walking around Pisgah United Methodist Church located at 621 N. Ebenezer Road.  Then dispatch got a follow up calling saying the man apparently went into the church and was walking around the Life Center. South Carolina State Trooper along with Florence County Sheriff's deputy arrived and eventually located the suspect outside the church.

Christopher Hoover, 41, from Florence, told authorities he was walking around nude because "God told me to do it."  The police report says Hoover was taken to McLeod hospital for a mental evaluation.  Then he was transferred to Florence County Detention Center Saturday where he was charged with indecent exposure and trespassing.  He also faces DUI charges from a separate incident last week.
