Ashley Ridge High School teacher receives stitches after student hits her in the face

 An Ashley Ridge High School teacher is recovering, after a student assaulted her, hitting her in the face Monday, said Pat Raynor, a spokesperson with Dorchester District Two.

According to a press release, the student was disrespectful to the teacher who was on lunch duty.  The situation escalated and the student hit her in the face.
 The teacher received medical treatment that involved several stitches.

The student was charged by law enforcement and is currently suspended. The district says the student will not have a hearing with the district's officer.

    Chrysler is recalling more than 700,00 Jeeps for an ignition switch problem.The automaker says the ignition key can be moved out of the on position, by the driver's knee while the car is being driven. This could cause the engine to stall and the airbags to stop working.It affects Jeep Commanders with model years 2006 to 2007 and Jeep Grand Cherokees with model years 2005 to 2007.Chrysler says it will contact affect customers by mid-September.
