Posted: Updated:
News 2 presents River Oaks Middle School with our Cool School award.

All week, we've shown you all the cool things taking place at River Oaks Middle School in Dorchester District Two. River Oaks Middle School offers an outstanding fine arts program. The Palmetto Silver award winning school has received an "A" rating the past two years on the federal report card. The school has a strong academic program that offers several high school credit courses at the middle school level. They also have an award winning robotics program.

River Oaks is the only middle school in the state to offer the Civil Air Patrol program. Students learn about aviation and they actually get to fly airplanes.

Earlier, we presented the River Oaks Bobcats with our Cool School award, and the principal gave us a little surprise as well!!!

Congratulations River Oaks Bobcats!
