CHARLOTTE, N.C. -

Four teenagers are charged in connection with a violent crime spree. Charlotte Mecklenburg Police say the crimes started early Sunday and ended with a man shot to death.

Police said Randy Shawn Lloyd, 16, turned himself in at police headquarters Monday. On Tuesday, Bobby Lannell Hargrove, 16, was charged with accessory after the fact of felony murder.  Police arrested two other teens - ages 15 and 13.

Apparently the foursome met in Charlotte late Saturday night.  Maj. Mike Smathers said at a news conference Monday the group started by robbing a couple outside a north Charlotte club just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Two hours later they took  a man's pickup truck at gunpoint then they drove to an apartment complex in north Charlotte where they reportedly robbed a jogger of $4.

Lastly around 8:20 a.m. police said they pulled up to a driveway on Pence Pond Road in east Charlotte where they took a man's wallet and car at gunpoint.  This time it ended with Ronald Gullette, 44, a husband and father, shot and killed.

Smathers say the teens targeted him and shot him without provocation.

A stolen car was spotted about an hour later and police tried to pull them over.  The officers caught the younger two but the others got away at that time.

The 15-year-old is charged with murder and several counts of robbery and the 13-year-old faces charges of resisting arrest.

Smathers said beyond the excitement there's no reason for the crime spree.
