North Charleston Police are investigating after a student brought a gun to Fort Dorchester High School Friday morning.

According to Dorchester District 2 spokesperson Pat Raynor, the student had an unloaded gun in his pocket during gym class.  Another student saw the gun when it fell from his pocket, and immediately reported it to the teacher. 

The gun was confiscated, and the student who had just transferred to Fort Dorchester High, was taken into custody by law enforcement.
