SC Governor to recognize Boone Hall & Lowcountry Strawberry Festival

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will be recognizing Boone Hall Plantation and The Lowcountry Strawberry Festival. South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will be recognizing Boone Hall Plantation and The Lowcountry Strawberry Festival.
MOUNT PLEASANT, SC - A proclamation from South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley recognizing Boone Hall Plantation and The Lowcountry Strawberry Festival will be presented at an opening ceremony for the festival Thursday April 10, 2014 at 3PM.

South Carolina Dept. Of Agriculture Commissioner Hugh Weathers will be on hand to present the proclamation and to take part in the opening ceremony and ribbon cutting.

Also participating will be Mt. Pleasant Mayor Linda Page and the Wando High School Band.

This ceremony will take place in front of the admission area for the festival located 1/2 mile north of Long Point Rd on Hwy. 17 in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

AAA Carolinas says that's up about 1.5 percent from a year ago and the highest number in the past six years. Almost 90 percent of those traveling will be driving.
