1 injured in crash involving school bus in North Charleston

Dorchester County officials are investigating a traffic accident involving a school bus in North Charleston.

The accident happened on Ashley Phosphate Road near East Saddlebrook Drive and Patriot Blvd.

According to Pat Raynor with Dorchester County School District 2, a car hit the bus on its way to Fort Dorchester High School.
Six students were on the bus at the time.  Raynor says none of the students on board the bus was injured, however the bus driver did sustained an injury to her arm.

Lanes on Ashley Phosphate were closed for a short time.
