Police charge four suspects in Pawley's Island robbery

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC - Georgetown County Sheriff's Investigators have charged four males for a strong armed robbery which occurred in the Pawleys Island Community of Georgetown County.

On April 1, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. two males were assaulted in the parking lot of the Islander located at 9185 Ocean Highway in the Pawleys Island Community of Georgetown County. Four males walked over to the two victims and began a conversation. One suspect stated he lost his wallet and then all four suspects assaulted one of the victims. The second victim came to the aide of the first victim before the suspects fled in an unknown vehicle and an unknown direction of travel.

Through an extensive investigation, four suspects were identified and arrested. Brandon Greene, 19, of Walterboro, Eugene Medders, 31, of Hollywood, John Morris, 41, of Round O, Zachary Morris, 21, Goose Creek.

All four suspects were each charged with one count of Assault By Mob, Third Degree and one count of Common Law Robbery.
Greene, Medders, Morris and Morris are currently being housed at the Georgetown County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
