Police are currently investigating a stabbing in North Charleston that left one person dead and two others injured.

According to officials, shortly before 3:00 am, officers responded to Dorchester Village Mobile Home Park on Deidrich St in reference to a disturbance and stabbing.  On scene, officers located a male lying in the road.  Two other males were found on the front porch of a mobile home suffering from knife wounds.

EMS pronounced the male found in the road deceased.  The other two victims were transported to MUSC and have since been released.

According to witnesses, the incident stemmed from a domestic-related altercation between the suspect and his ex-girlfriend.

Investigators say the three stabbing victims left a party to approach a vehicle where a man and woman were talking. One man opened the car door and allegedly assaulted the suspect. Police say the alleged suspect was dragged from his car to the road, where he stabbed the three men, one fatally, with a knife that he got from his car.

At this time, no charges have been filed. The investigation is on-going.
