Cross High School teacher accused of sexual misconduct

The Berkeley Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation after receiving notification from the Berkeley County School District that a teacher at Cross High School had been accused of sexual misconduct with a student.

According to the School District, the teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this investigation into these allegations.

Susan Haire, public information officer with the BCSD sent this statement:
Berkeley County School District holds our employees to the highest level of professional excellence.

As soon as the District learned of the alleged incident and in compliance with District policy, the employee was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. 

Please note that we may not disclose other specifics about the employee’s employment as investigations regarding personnel matters are protected by privacy rights. “?
