CHARLESTON, SC - PRESS RELEASE - Wednesday morning's game between the Charleston RiverDogs and the Augusta GreenJackets was suspended due to rain. There was no score in the bottom of the first with one out and Aaron Judge at the plate when the game was put into a delay before it was officially suspended.

That nine-inning contest will resume at 5:05 pm. on Thursday, and a seven-inning game will follow the conclusion of the suspended game.

Tickets for Wednesday's game may be exchanged at the Riley Park Box Office to any remaining RiverDogs home game in 2014. A ticket for Thursday's action will be good for both games. Gates will open at 4pm ahead of first pitch at 5:05 p.m.

BALLPARK FUN: Thousands of children throughout the Lowcountry came out to The Joe for the second Education Day of the season. Fans who stayed through the delay watched the classic baseball film "The Sandlot" on the RiverDogs' brand new video board behind the right-center field wall.

COMING UP: This three-game set is scheduled to conclude on Thursday with the resumption of Wednesday's suspended game followed by the series finale. The suspended game will be continued at 5:05pm on Thursday. Charleston RHP Rookie Davis (2-1, 3.70 ERA) and Augusta RHP Keury Mella (2-0, 3.05 ERA) are still tabbed to pitch the series finale that follows the suspended game. Budweiser Thirsty Thursday, presented by 95SX, features $1 drafts, DJ Natty Heavy, and a Wild Wing Café wing-eating contest, all in the Ashley View Pub. HoneySmoke will perform by the Beer Garden in a postgame concert sponsored by Palmetto Brewery and Awendaw Green.

Tickets may be purchased at the Riley Park Box Office, (843) 577-DOGS (3647) or on-line at www.riverdogs.com. If fans cannot make it to the ballpark, they are encouraged to tune in to all the action this year both home and away worldwide on www.riverdogs.com  and locally on 1250 WTMA, the new radio home for RiverDogs baseball.
