Authorities search for suspect in Georgetown County robbery

Authorities search for suspect in Georgetown County robbery

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an armed robbery at 5190 Highway 17 Bypass in the Murrells Inlet Community of Georgetown County.

According to officials, Saturday, May 2, 2014 at 11:30 p.m., a male entered the business through the unlocked front door. The male pointed what appeared to be a hand gun at the victim and demanded money. He then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is believed to have been driving a gold in color Impala.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as an African American male, approximately 6’00” in height, wearing a black or blue bandana.
