Mysterious Jesus statue found inside of broken gnome

Posted: Updated:
Lynnville, TN - A Tennessee woman is trying to solve the mystery behind a figurine she found in a garden gnome.  She discovered the object after accidentally dropping the gnome on the sidewalk and breaking it open.

Heather Andrews  says she has a friend who gives her garden gnomes as a gag between them.  She found what appears to a Jesus statue fused to the top and the bottom of a garden gnome.  She says it had to be formed at the time the gnome was made.  The sticker on the bottom reveals it's from Target but there's not much more than that.

Andrews decided to break open all of her garden gnomes but didn't find any others like it. She says while some people in her small town are creeped out by it, she adopted him and named him Pete. She even created a Facebook fan page for the statue. She just wishes she understood why someone would go tot the trouble of creating something no one would ever see.
