One person dead after ejected from car in Dorchester County

 One person is dead and another in the hospital after a wreck late Friday night in Dorchester County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a car was traveling north on Highway 61 near the Charleston County line around 11:20 p.m. when it ran off of the right side of the road and hit some trees.

Both occupants were ejected from the car and it is unknown at this time who was driving the car.

One person died; their identity has not yet been released.  The other occupant in the car, Jeremiah Clark-Loyless, was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina. There is no word on his condition at this time.

The deadly crash is still under investigation.
