Teenage girl dies, others injured after shooting in Longridge community

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office said a teenage girl is dead after a shooting in the Longridge Community.

Several were shot and transported to local hospitals. Deputies said the shots were fired at a "block party" on Tish Lane.
Deputies responded about 12:30 a.m. Deputies said five victims were shot, one died

Berkeley County Coroner confirms 19-year-old Ariel Morgan of Moncks Corner died at MUSC in Charleston at 2:45 a.m. An autopsy will be conducted today and more information will be released later.

According to social media, Morgan is a Stratford High School graduate. On her twitter account yesterday, she posted this quote from another user, "I really wanna show face at the block party, but I don't wanna lose my life man."

Shortly after, Morgan wrote, "some of us want our [lives] and just want to have a good & safe time."

The death is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
