Georgetown County Sheriff's looking for person who robbed Dollar General

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (PRESS RELEASE) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Dollar General store in Pawleys Island.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 8, Georgetown County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 10400 Ocean Highway. The clerk stated one black male entered the store and demanded money from the register. The suspect ordered the victim to the floor with what appeared to be a handgun. One employee was able to escape out the front door and the suspect followed, then fled south on foot. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect was wearing a long sleeve grey hoodie, grey sweatpants, white tennis shoes and had a mask covering his face.

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating the suspect wanted in connection with the armed robbery. Anyone that has any information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5101.
