Rapping Murder Suspect Admits to Crime

Posted: Updated:
Our cameras were rolling when police transported a murder suspect from Mobile Police Headquarters to Mobile Metro Jail. Darren Williams is accused of murdering another man. He left booking tonight singing a rap song to reporters. His "song" sounded like a confession.

<"Shout out to the MPD... yeah... they caught me... shot a dude... riding through the projects... money... still getting... little d...man... yeah that's me... charged me with murder.">

After singing against the advice of his attorney, Williams told reporters, "I did it," admitting to killing Anthony McCune. The shooting happened last night in the 1300 block of Olive Court off Ann Street. Williams claims he shot McCune in self defense.
