Hollywood murder suspect faces additional charges in second murder

Charleston County, SC - A man accused of murdering a 70-year-old Bluffton woman is facing additional charges in the murder of Polly Ann Mitchell.

According to the Bluffton Police Department, 53-year-old Jerry Lee Manigault sexually assaulted, robbed and then murdered Polly Ann Mitchell. Mitchell was found dead in her home by a relative on May 12. Officials have not yet released specifics surrounding her death, pending the full investigation.

Manigault is booked into the Charleston County jail, charged with sexually assaulting and murdering 77-year-old Julia Mudgett. Mudgett was reported missing on May 6 and was found a few weeks later in the woods less than a mile from her house. Manigault is also charged with kidnapping Mudgett.

Mudgett's disappearance and Mitchell's death happened within a few days. Mudgett's car, which was allegedly stolen by Manigault, was seen near Mitchell's home.
