Hiring Our Heroes job fair at Joint Base Charleston today

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A job fair for veterans and military spouses is being held at Joint Base Charleston.
   
More than 50 employers are expected for the Wednesday event at the Weapons Station Redbank Club sponsored by Hiring Our Heroes.
   
The job fair will also feature an employment workshop so those attending can get help with resume writing, interview skills and searching for jobs.
   
During the past three years, the Hiring Our Heroes organization has sponsored about 720 such job fairs across the nation in which 1,500 companies have hired 23,000 veterans and military spouses.

    A huge sinkhole has opened up outside a Spring Hill, Florida home. The hole is 30 feet deep and 40 feet wide and city officials have deemed the home unsafe.Now, the homeowner is forced to pack her stuff and leave just 18 months after moving in. Officials haven't determined the exact cause for the sink hole but a private contractor suspects heavy rain over the weekend may have played a role.
