Georgetown County officials investigate early morning shooting

An investigation is underway in Georgetown County after one person was found shot Wednesday morning.

The Georgetown Police Department has responded to a shooting in the 900 block of Duke Street. Officers found an African-American male in the roadway with multiple gun shots. Officials say the victim has been transported to the hospital.


No word yet on the extent of his injuries or any suspects in this case.
