Deanne Roberts

Deanne Roberts is a Florida girl who’s excited to call Charleston her new home. Deanne was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida and recently graduated with a degree in Broadcast News from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Go Bulls!

During her time at USF, Deanne made her first on-air appearance at the age of 19 while interning at WCTV Eyewitness News in Tallahassee. Deanne also interned at Tampa Bay’s newsleader, Fox 13 News and reported and anchored USF’s student-run show, Florida Focus. If Deanne wasn’t in a news station or chasing stories on campus, she was either running track, being president of her greek organization, volunteering in a student organization, or being a dog mom to her little yorkie, King. Deanne is a proud alumni of the USF Women’s Track and Field Team. Have you noticed a lot of pink, green, and pearls in her outfits? Deanne is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she served as President of the Zeta Upsilon Chapter at USF for two years.

When Deanne isn’t chasing the biggest stories for News 2, she’s around town enjoying Charleston’s rich history, beautiful sites, and chowing down on some Lowcountry cuisine.

Deanne is always looking for her next story, and would love to share yours. If you have a story idea for Deanne, email her at droberts@wcbd.com
