Lexi Moore joined the News 2 team in January of 2021 after completing four years at Coastal Carolina University where she earned her degree in Sports Communication and Journalism.
In October, Lexi switched from being a night-owl as an evening reporter for News 2 at 4,5,6,10 & 11 and joined the News 2 Today and Midday team as an anchor and reporter.
She is a Carolina girl at heart, growing up in a small-town outside of Charlotte, NC called Mint Hill. Lexi enjoyed vacationing with her family at the beaches in the Carolina’s every summer and knew Charleston was a place for her.
During her four years at Coastal, she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi and part of the CCU Dance Team. Lexi’s favorite part of her dance experience at Coastal was being able to dance at every home football and basketball game and traveling to New Orleans to cheer on the men’s basketball team at the Sunbelt Championship Tournament (Go Chants!).
Also, during her senior year, Lexi took on an internship at our sister station WBTW in Myrtle Beach, SC for her last semester. During her internship, she was able to interview presidential candidates and report hurricane coverage. Her having those opportunities is where her passion for storytelling truly took off.
She has enjoyed becoming a Charlestonian and learning all about what makes the Lowcountry so amazing. In her free time Lexi enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with family, and going on fun adventures with her Golden Retriever, Louie.
