Megan James joined Storm Team 2 in June of 2020. She comes here after stops in Lexington, Kentucky and Columbia, Missouri. Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, she has seen everything from tornadoes to snow storms. She is now looking forward to keeping people safe and informed during tropical weather alongside the rest of Storm Team 2.

Megan graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Atmospheric Science while working as a weekend forecaster at the local NBC affiliate. Throughout college she was actively involved in her sorority, Sigma Kappa, and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. While she searches for an opportunity to volunteer her time here in the Lowcountry, she enjoys running, exploring all the Lowcountry has to offer, and spending time with her adopted puppy, Maclin.
