Celebrating female leaders in our community with a special luncheon

CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – In celebration of International Women’s Month, Trident Literacy Association is planning a special luncheon to honor outstanding women leaders in our community.

Those to be honored include Brenda Carter, a member of the South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame, Dot Scott, president of the Charleston chapter NAACP, Dr. Deb Williamson, a professor with MUSC’s College of Nursing, Jennet Robinson Alterman, a women’s rights advocate, and others.

Count on 2’s Carolyn Murray will be the mistress of ceremonies.

The event kicks off Thursday, March 7th at 12:00 p.m.
