Charleston Country Library Hosting Events All Month For Black History Month


Charleston Country Library is hosting Dr. Nic Butler, to talk about Abraham the Unstoppable. A story about an enslaved man in the 1760s, who used his knowledge of the natural world to gain his freedom from the South Carolina government. The performance is free to the public and will be on Wednesday Feb 13 from 6-7pm at the Mount Pleasant Regional Library on Mathis Ferry road. The second chance to see this show will be on Wednesday February 20th from 6-7pm at the main library auditorium on Calhoun Street.  The Library will be hosting many other events for Black History month ranging from kids programs to adult events.   For more information head on over to or Dr. Butler’s blog “Charleston time machine”.
