CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) — The Mu Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will hold its annual Black History Bowl Tournament in the Lowcountry to celebrate Black History Month.

The tournament will take place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, February 6 the campus of The Citadel Military College, Grimsley Hall.

We’re told the event will feature student teams from various schools across the tri-county area.  The winning team from the competition will represent the Mu Alpha Chapter and then compete against various teams from across the state for an opportunity to compete against the winning team from the state of North Carolina to determine the district champion, from the Sixth District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Organizers say the quiz bowl is an opportunity to promote and enhance the educational experience of our students and promote diversity and cultural awareness.
