SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — Summerville Police arrested a woman in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in Summerville Thanksgiving morning.
Valerie Nelson, 39, of North Charleston, is charged with obstruction of justice.
Authoritites say on Thursday, November 24 at 12:30 a.m., Brett Farmer, 23, was struck by a vehicle near the entrance to Azalea Square Shopping Center on Holiday Drive.

Medics transported Farmer to a local hospital where he later died. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
At a bond hearing, a judge set bail at $25,000. Nelson is currently being held at the Berkeley County Detention Center.
