Authorities in North Charleston say on Thursday, July 2 a man barricaded himself at a home in North Charleston.

Spencer Pryor with the North Charleston Police Department says the incident happened at Poplar Ridge Road near Cedar Ridge Road.

We’re told officers were attempting to serve a warrant out of Moncks Corner, when the man refused to come out, barricading himself inside. He has since came out and surrendered to police, according to Pryor.

We are working to learn the identity of the person involved. News 2 viewers called our newsroom saying they’ve seen multiple agencies in the area at the time of the situation.

This is a developing story. We’ll keep you posted on any updates.
