On Saturday August 13th BCSD will also host the first annual OneBerkeley Goes Back to School Festival at the Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex from 9am-1pm. You may be familiar with the Stuff the Bus campaign from previous years where BCSD encouraged the community to donate school supplies that were delivered to our schools for students to use. The campaign was successful, but they wanted to expand the event to offer more to the families.

This year they are collecting school supplies for backpacks that will be placed in the hands of the children at the festival and any overflow will go to the schools. Also at the festival, BCSD will offer a resource fair that will feature community organizations and businesses to educate families on resources available in the community. There will be jump castles, face painting, food trucks and much more fun for families to enjoy while they receive the supplies and resources to help prepare them for a successful school year.Click here to learn more about OneBerkeley Festival

BCSD says they have been overwhelmed by the community and business support they have received to help make the festival a reality.
