Just in time for the beginning of the 2016 school year, the Berkeley County School Board has named two new principals in their school district.
Kori Brown has been named the new principal of Daniel Island school on Daniel Island. She has worked in public education for over 20 years, beginning her career as a second grade teacher in Georgetown, SC. Brown has served as an assistant principal at multiple schools in the state including Whiteville Elementary, Sedgefield Intermediate and has served as the assistant principal at Daniel Island School for the last 3 years.
Dara Harrop has been named the new principal for Marrington Middle School of the Arts in Goose Creek. Harrop has spent over 15 years in public education beginning her career in Springville,Utah. Harrop joined Berkeley County Public schools in 2002 and has worked as a teacher, student intervention specialist and administrator all across the district including at College Park Middle, Goose Creek high, Timberland high and Hanahan high. Harrop has also served as the assistant principal at Cane Bay middle school for the past four years.
