Black doll found hanging at Canisius College in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y.(WCBD) — A black doll with a noose around its neck was found in an elevator of a New York college campus, according to WGRZ

School leaders and campus police were notified about the doll in Frisch Hall on the campus of Canisius College, on Tuesday, November 8.

In a statement, Canisius College President, John Hurley called the act despicable. He also said Canisius is investigating the incident and whoever did this will be held responsible.

“We should also keep perspective and not paint the entire campus community with a broad brush over the stupid act of one or a few individuals,” Hurley said.

Students told the news station that the doll was later taken out of the elevator, with an image of it later resurfacing as a meme online that read, “Trump Fans…Hanging Babies Since 2016”

Several black students said they believe these type of incidents will only get worse as President-Elect, Donald Trump takes office.

Students are planning a discussion on campus for Wednesday night.
