UPDATE- Jacob Hall, a boy who was shot in Townville and was in critical condition, has died, according to NBC station, WYFF.

The Anderson County Coroner declared him dead at 12:56 PM, WYFF says.

GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – One of two children injured in Wednesday’s shooting at Townville Elementary is still in critical condition at a hospital in Greenville.

6-year-old Jacob Hall was taken to the Greenville Memorial Hospital after the shooting Wednesday afternoon.

Hall’s parents released a statement Wednesday evening through the hospital thanking the community for their support and prayers.

“We appreciate the community’s support, especially the Townville Rescue Squad who treated Jacob onsite and brought him to the hospital,” said Rodger and Renae Hall, “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

On Thursday morning, the hospital released the following statement:

“Jacob Hall remains in critical condition at the Greenville Health System Children’s Hospital as of 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 29. We hope to provide another condition update by 4:00 p.m. today.”
