LADSON, S.C. (WCBD) — The Coastal Carolina Fair is underway in the Lowcountry.

Bringing 11 days and nights of fun, the fair brings concerts, great food, exhibits, tons of entertainment and more than 64 rides.

The Coastal Carolina Fair, which began in 1957,  runs from October 27 through November 6 at the Exchange park fairgrounds in Ladson.

Fair officials want to remind drivers that there are multiple entrances, including College Park Road near I-26 and US 78 near the Fairgrounds. Motorists are not required to use the College Park Road entrance unless they desire to.

Traffic tends to be heavy near the College Park exit as well on College Park Road.

On Thursday’s opening day, the fair is offering a “Bring A Friend Free” deal with the purchase of an Adult Walgreens Fair Ticket.

There are two entrances to the fair: College Park Road near I-26 and US 78 near the fairgrounds. Troopers report heavy traffic near College Park Road due to the fair, so they encourage visitors to utilize both entrances, if possible.
