CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – It would not be a stretch to call him a multi-tasker while pedaling the miles of the Ravenel Bridge, tonight’s everyday hero, clears the path for others.
Richard Moss is a quiet unassuming guy who would be the first to admit he takes trash from everyone.
Before the sun is bright in the Lowcountry sky, he’s cycling and cleaning up what others leave behind.
Richard Moss picks up trash along the two and half mile span of the Ravenel Bridge. He does it nearly every day, it’s not his nine to five job but trash collecting is his mission.
When he sees trash, he stops, picks it up, and stuffs the trash into the side pouches on his bike.
Moss doesn’t want praise, attaboys, or recognition. Moss’ real job is winding up soon but that does not stop his cycle of cleaning up what others leave behind.
