MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - The funeral for the 9-year-old Memphis football player killed in a charter bus crash in Arkansas has now been paid for.
The community rallied together, and according to a Facebook post from Kameren “KamKam” Johnson’s football team – the Memphis Wolfpack – enough people donated to cover the funeral expenses. The post goes on to say money can still be donated to help the family.
Johnson was killed and 45 others were injured when the bus carrying Memphis-area youth football players with the Orange Mound Youth Association crashed as it returned to Memphis from a tournament in Dallas.
