Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a highway speed enforcement campaign

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a highway speed enforcement campaign that is scheduled to begin July 14.

“Operation Southern Shield” is taking place July 14 through July 20 to combat speeding on the highways.

Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office says speed remains to be one of the top contributing factors in deadly car crashes.
